and in ANNIE LENNOX news ...

LOS ANGELES (Billboard) - Annie Lennox's performance on last week's "Idol Gives Back" special has propelled the former Eurythmics singer onto the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for the first time in almost 13 years.

Lennox entered the chart at No. 80 on Thursday with her version of reggae icon Jimmy Cliff's 1969 song "Many Rivers to Cross."

While the tune has been covered by many artists over the years, including Linda Ronstadt, UB40 and Cher, it has never appeared on the Hot 100 until now.

"Many Rivers to Cross" marks Lennox's sixth non-Eurythmics appearance on the Hot 100. Three of those have been covers, starting in 1989 with a duet with Al Green on Jackie DeShannon's "Put a Little Love in Your Heart," which went to No. 9. In 1995, Lennox went to No. 23 with a remake of the Lover Speaks' "No More 'I Love You's'."

Her 1992 solo album "Diva" yielded two hits that year, "Why" (No. 34) and "Walking on Broken Glass" (No. 14), and one in 1993, "Little Bird" (No. 49).

Eurythmics appeared 15 times on the Hot 100, beginning with the duo's 1983 chart-topper "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)" (No. 1) and ending with 1989's "Don't Ask Me Why" (No. 40).

mother's day ...

well, mom sure had a good mother's day weekend - she struck 4D! not a lot lah, but she is happy. so phew!
our MD eve lunch @ Holiday Inn Atrium didn't go too well cos she was not feeling well and it was a rainy day and it was slightly miserable. but the food is good, btw.
so she won last night and she is in a jolly mood today.
sometimes choices make it so tough for the undecided. or those of us too lazy to make a decision.
i've got some points from SQ that will expire in June so I wanted to use it. the expiring points is enough for a flight to malaysia or indonesia. bali is not my usual place, so that's out.
so now - penang or kl
penang where it'll be pleasure and family but i'll be a prisoner for two days (albeit a well fed one),or kl where i'll have to review a couple of things but i'm free, can meet friends and makan a lot.
how?
ps:
i've had such a relaxing long weekend that i'm lethargic. all i did was sleep, eat, watch TV shows and movies (completed kinky boots (not bad), will & grace (ok), and ice age 2 (blah!) - the best is still Scary Movie 4). and i re-listened to Annie Lennox's Medusa. it's damn excellent lor.
yesterday, i actually had to literally sit down to decide if i should continue shopping or head to the gym! i shocked myself with my laziness! (for the record, i went to the gym)
and this is how i'm deciding if i'm going to the gym tomorrow - i'll see what time i wake up.
aiyoh.
the only real feeling i had all weekend was from this morning when i was annoyed - opened up the papers and there was a mistake. sigh. on the one day that is vital and when i had left word upon word upon more words about how it should be. i am not looking forward to tomorrow.
right now, i'm just going to crawl right back into bed and read my book In Cold Blood. It's taking me forever to get through it.
also, didn't managed to see baby bernadine today. she goes home tomorrow. sigh, again.
